Valeria Amato is a Ph.D. candidate in Information Technology at Politecnico di Milano, specializing in System & Control with a focus on energy systems modeling.
She holds a Double Master’s degree in Data Science from Politecnico di Milano and Aalto University, completed with honors. Her research explores energy nexus modeling to improve energy infrastructure realism and decision-making for a sustainable energy transition and climate resilience. Her Master’s thesis, “Forecast-driven bidding strategies in the Finnish day-ahead and capacity reserve electricity markets”, was developed in collaboration with Intergrid Oy, where she worked as a Machine Learning Engineer in Finland.
